COLLEGE PARK, Md. (June 7) – Congratulations to Merrill College student Anna Muckerman ’18 – who was awarded this year’s Chesapeake AP Broadcasters Association $3000 Bob Schilling scholarship. The award was officially presented last Saturday night during the CAPBA convention in Ocean City.
The scholarship is named in honor of past CAPBA President and Board Member Bob Shilling.
Muckerman is the news director for WMUC radio on campus and has been a long-term intern for Meet the Press in Washington, D.C. She is also a former reporter for ABC2 Teen Perspective.

About the CAPBA
The Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association serves as an official liaison between AP Member Stations and the Mid-Atlantic Bureau and its staff in Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C. The CAPBA board, comprised of radio and television professionals from the region, meets quarterly to discuss issues of significance to the AP and its members.
The board is also responsible for awarding the Bob Shilling $3,000 Memorial Scholarship to a college journalism student, the planning of our annual convention in Ocean City (check out pictures from the 2017 convention on our Facebook page!), and other educational and industry-related events.
