Marlene Cimons spent many years as a Washington reporter for the Los Angeles Times covering health policy. Today, she writes regularly for The Washington Post health section, for Climate Nexus (a New York-based, philanthropy-funded climate change communications organization), Climate Progress, LiveScience.com and Microbe Magazine, among others.
She also has authored several science and health reports.
A graduate of Syracuse University, Cimons has been teaching at the Merrill College since 2002 and earned her Ph.D. there in 2008.
And she loves to run marathons!
