Robin Bennefield is a freelance digital media producer, content strategist and writer with over 20 years of journalism and multimedia experience. She has written and produced content for TravelChannel.com, Discovery.com and TVOne.tv.
She spent more than 10 years with Discovery as an executive producer and site director, creating content and overseeing production of popular network sites for Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet, including Planet Earth, Puppy Bowl and Shark Week, for which she earned several Webby nominations.
Bennefield started her career in journalism at U.S. News & World Report as a reporter-researcher covering social issues, education and consumer news, and, later, became one of the producers of the first U.S. News web site.
She is a graduate of Swarthmore College and Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism. Her true passion is travel and she chronicles her experiences on her blog, RobinsHaveWings.com.
