Join Philip Merrill College of Journalism Dean Lucy Dalglish for an in-depth conversation with New York Times Investigations Editor Rebecca Corbett.
Working behind the scenes, Corbett has led some of the most important stories of the past few decades, including the New York Times’ Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation into Harvey Weinstein and sexual harassment, which unleashed the #MeToo movement. Corbett also led the Times’ 2005 Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation of the National Security Agency’s warrantless eavesdropping program, as well as its deep-dive stories into Amazon’s treatment of workers, exploding U.S. health care costs and lawlessness on the high seas.
This event is presented in partnership with the University of Maryland Alumni Association, Philip Merrill College of Journalism and its newly launched Howard Center for Investigative Journalism.
Hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer are included with registration.
