Merrill College students get involved with journalism the moment they step on campus. No matter your interest or your passion, there is a paper, magazine, radio station, TV station that is available to you.

Student Carly Kempler’18 compiled this list of campus media so you have a one-stop-shop to find just your right fit. And if you don’t find something you like – start something yourself and we’ll include it here!

The Diamondback

The independent, student-run newspaper for the University of Maryland. Students have the opportunity to write for a variety of sections including, Sports, Opinion, Diversions and News, ranging from this university’s campus to Prince George’s County.  Content is published daily, and a print edition is distributed throughout the city and on campus every Thursday. Note: Check out the Diamondback General Assignment meetings. These are great for students looking to complete their 320 outside published clips requirement as a freelancer. Meetings are on Sundays at 8 p.m. in the production room across from the DBK offices on the third floor of the South Campus Dining Hall.
