Elite Truong is the deputy editor for strategic initiatives at The Washington Post, where she leads experimental storytelling projects with The Post’s journalism, technology and advertising teams to reach new audiences around the world. Her career so far has been focused on figuring out what’s next for journalism, including telling stories with emerging technologies and partnering with tech platforms on the future of distribution.
Prior to The Post, Truong led product strategy and development for off-platform storytelling at Vox Media and authored a column on media innovation for Poynter, and started her nontraditional career in journalism after stints in pastry and reviewing restaurants. In her free time, she’s teaching herself to ride motorcycles, fly drones and pan-fry the perfect dumpling.
