Mohammed Ademo’s research examines mediated political participation in authoritarian contexts, exploring how social movements utilize music and collective memory as tools for communication and resistance.
Before coming to the University of Maryland, Ademo spent two decades as a journalist, media executive, community organizer and human-rights advocate in Ethiopia and abroad.
