Sarah Elbeshbishi ’22
Sarah Elbeshbishi ’22 is a Washington, D.C.–based reporter covering the metals industry for S&P Global. She previously reported on energy and environmental issues in West Virginia, including coal and natural gas policy, flood risk and access to safe drinking water.
Before that, she covered national politics at USA TODAY, focusing on the everyday impacts of federal policy on communities across the country. A proud alum of the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism, Elbeshbishi served on the board of UMD’s student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and as a student ambassador for the college. Since graduating, she has served as a mentor to current students through the college’s mentorship program.
