Howard Fellow Taylor Ramirez is a graduate student from Poolesville, Maryland, with a passion for politics and political communication that began at an early age growing up just outside of Washington, D.C. She earned her B.A. in Government and International Politics from George Mason University, where she served as opinion editor of The Fourth Estate, the university’s student-run newspaper. In that role, she managed a team of writers, edited opinion pieces and helped amplify the voices of the campus community.

Following her graduation in 2023, Ramirez joined GMU's Schar School of Policy and Government as a social media marketing specialist. She writes about political news, develops and manages marketing campaigns, and translates complex policy issues into engaging, accessible social media content. Through her work, she has developed a strong interest in the intersection of journalism, politics and digital media, and hopes to build a career helping the public better understand politics in an ever-evolving media landscape.
