Shirley Povich Sports Journalism Summer Camp

The Shirley Povich Sports Journalism Summer Camp has become one of the most popular camps for high school students interested in sports media. Students are taught by professionals in the field and gain valuable hands-on, real-world experiences.

Held annually in July, the summer camp is for high school students entering grades 9-12 and attracts students from all across the country.

This year's camp will take place July 11-15. Registration is now open.

Monday, July 11 
9-9:30: Check-in & Breakfast (Atrium) 
9:30-10: Welcome and Overview (Eaton)
10-10:30: Tour of Kigh Hall  
10:30-10:45: Break
10:45-11:45: Panel - Sports Media Overview (Eaton)
11:45: Walk to South Campus Diner 
12-1: Lunch at South Campus
1: Tour of Diamondback 
2: TBD
3: Dismissal 

Tuesday, July 12
9-9:30: Check-in & Breakfast (Atrium) 
9:30-10:30: Pardon The Interruption with Producer Daniel Lyght (Eaton)
10:30-10:45: Break & Walk to Tawes
10:45-11:45: eSports Activity (Tawes)
11:45: Walk to Stamp
12-1: Lunch at Stamp 
1: Leave STAMP and Walk to Xfinity
1:15-2:30: Tour XFINITY Center
