Ph.D. Student Jodi McFarland Friedman, Associate Professor Rob Wells Win Merrill’s 2022 Ray Hiebert History of Journalism Awards
COLLEGE PARK — Third-year Ph.D. student Jodi McFarland Friedman and Associate Professor Rob Wells have won the 2022 Ray Hiebert History of Journalism Awards for the best works of journalism history by any student or faculty member at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism, the awards committee announced. Friedman and Wells will each receive a $1,000 honorarium.

COLLEGE PARK — Dr. Susan Moeller, the professor of media and international affairs at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism, has won the 2023 Graduate Faculty Mentor of the Year Award from the UMD Graduate School.

The study is being conducted by a team of researchers at Merrill College and the Info College at the University of Maryland.
