Povich Center students were busy this summer. Despite summer work, a pandemic and warm temps, our students were working hard during their time off, gaining experience at various summer jobs and internships around the area.
Here are a few highlights:
Jasmine Boykin '22 worked at WUSA9 as a news intern, producing engaging content for all platforms: broadcast, digital and social.
Meghan Curtis '22 served as a summer staff reporter for Streetcar Suburbs Publishing. She was assigned to write two feature articles a month for the College Park Here and Now.
Julia Joseph '21 worked as a sideline reporter for the Wareham Gatemen - a collegiate summer baseball team in the Cape Cod League.
Matt Levine '22 interned as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod Baseball League.
Ryan McFadden '21 interned with The Baltimore Sun, covering a variety of sports, including the Orioles and Ravens.
Hailey Yellin '24 worked as a video and production intern for NBC Sports Washington. She edited and created video content for D.C. United pregame shows and worked in the truck helping to archive clips.
