Kate Yanchulis

Kate Yanchulis helps to plan and execute reporting projects, research, events and programs designed to nurture the next generation of sports journalists.

Yanchulis has experience as a senior editor at The Sporting News and Just Women’s Sports. She maintains a particular interest in and focus on the growth and changing landscape of women’s sports.

Additional career stops included reporting and editing roles at the Daily Press (Newport News, Virginia), The Washington Post and Sports Illustrated.

After graduating from Merrill College with her bachelor’s degree in 2011, Yanchulis earned her master’s degree in digital media from King’s College London in 2013. A native of the D.C. area, she takes pride in her deep knowledge of her home teams' many foibles.
