Sara Browning hails from Washington, D.C., and is currently working on her dissertation at the University of Maryland Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
She has over a decade of experience as a political correspondent and has also enjoyed doing research for D.C. think tanks. She worked as a research assistant with the Hoover Institution in 2019, where she helped write a book on immigration, and received a competitive Graduate School Summer Research Fellowship for her work in media coverage of Asian immigrants in 2018. Browning has won two conference paper awards and has presented her research at regional, national and international conferences. She holds a bachelor's in English Literature and a master's in Political Science.
