Robin Sundaramoorthy

Robin Sundaramoorthy
Robin Sundaramoorthy is a journalism and media historian whose work focuses on silences, gaps and omissions. Her research is guided by the notion that who the media leaves out is more important than who is included. Sundaramoorthy’s doctoral dissertation uses a multimethod approach to explore efforts by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to increase broadcast minority ownership. She looks at a 1980s rule that added approximately 700 new FM stations to small- and medium-sized communities across the country.
Sundaramoorthy has 20 years of TV news experience at the local and network levels. She covered three presidential campaigns, including the elections of Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
