COLLEGE PARK -- Amelia Jarecke ’22, a student at the University of Maryland Philip Merrill College of Journalism, and Merrill College Lecturer Bethany Swain have been honored with awards from the Broadcast Education Association.
The Philip Merrill College of Journalism took some time to reflect on how we rose to the challenge of the pandemic and grew from it, beginning with thoughts from Dean Lucy Dalglish. After a year of remote classes, COVID tests, heightened anxiety, online commencements and more Zoom time than any human should have to endure, Merrill College faculty, staff and students are taking a moment to ask, "What have we learned?" Please take a few minutes to read the thoughts of members of the Merrill community. You will be impressed with their resourcefulness and resilience.
