As we wrap up a school year like no other, we wanted to provide you with an update on what’s been happening inside The Shirley Povich Center for Sports Journalism. It’s been a challenging year filled with Zoom calls, virtual classes and more, but our students have persevered, and we are so proud of them. We’re very much looking forward to the fall semester, when we should all be back on campus.

Christoph Mergerson Joins Merrill College Faculty as Visiting Assistant Professor in Race and Media
COLLEGE PARK -- Christoph Mergerson, who is completing his Ph.D. in Communication, Information and Media at Rutgers University, will join the University of Maryland Philip Merrill College of Journalism this fall as a visiting assistant professor in race and media, Dean Lucy A. Dalglish announced Friday.
